Ok, first of all I have to say is unfortunately this is something
I have dabbled in off and on for years. I thought I found a
person that was right for me but things didn't work out.
So back to the world of Internet dating since it's really the
only place to meet people anymore. Living in the cities
everyone just goes about their way as if they have everything
in place and you, are just another person passing them by. No
one opens up and tries to talk or communicate other than a
quick glance....what is that? and why? I understand everyone
has insecurities....me included! I have always been a friendly
person and open to talking and forming all kinds of new relationships.
I never really know if I am not good looking enough to talk to,
do I have something in my teeth, bad breath, too short, too dark
of hair, not good enough body oh my gosh the list can go on and
on. I have had this problem since I was very young. All my friends
had boyfriends all through high school. I didn't of course but I
just figured well, this is just high school who cares...but unfortunately
it went beyond that. I have only had one person pursue me...One.
I almost married him.......everyone else after that I had to pursue.
Even when you do get comfortable with the pursuit thing...sometimes
(most times) it backfires. So where do we go from here? It is so
sad, that there are that many people just saying oh well, I guess I will
just exist....I have a friend who pretty much loves his life being
single. He likes having his men friends and his "girl.....friends". Notice
the separation there. Yeah, they are girls and they are friends. It's
amazing to see how satisfied he is. He is really his own free spirit
and truly likes it that way. More power to him...but for the rest of
us who want to share a life....well, it's gets pretty hard.
Internet dating is whole world that can be so exciting but confusing
all in the same membership time. I connected with a couple of
guys at one point and thought wow, this is it...but after communicating
a couple of times all the while saying how we "should" get together
they disappear as quickly as they appear....what is that????
My niece told me something the other day that was so profound. Her
grandmother, a very funny lady and well known for her books written
with quick humor had said the following. Men are like parking spots.
All the good ones are taken. The only thing left are the handicapped
ones. I laughed but pretty much said the could actually be so true!
I don't have the answer other than it's lke anything else worth the
pain....you have to suffer through it until it works. I have seen so
many profiles of these guys are who are well into their late 30's up
to like mid 40's. They actually say they want kids? Excuse me well
then you just pretty much are looking for the 20 something that
still wants kids, but your age difference will get ya in the end...
No not always, but as time goes on and he ages faster than her
and she is still young...hmmm well I will just let your mind chew on
that one. If you have waited that long to have kids? What have
you been doing all this time...quality person, who knows...everyone
has their reasons, good bad or indifferent. Don't get me wrong I am not
trying to criticize what other people do or how they feel I am just
trying to make sense of it. Where are the cool 40 something who
haven't already bought into the well, now I have another ache or
pain, I must be old now. Immaturity and young at heart are two
different thing in my opinion. So....where are the young at heart?
Gimme your thoughts! Ciao

Golden Globe rags
Anyone watch the Golden Globes? Well I was suppose
to be by the time we got home from the show, it
was well it into it. I love the Red Carpet but lately
the Red Carpet only fits a couple of stars evidently.
The amount of people they talk to is like....5...and
the questions they ask....pullleeeezzze.
Enough about that...what about the clothes?
Drew Barrymore looked great I thought...little too
dishevled hair but she looked great. Salma always
looks great, that polished Latina! No one else really
stands out...everyone was just kinda...well blah.
The men...well, a tux is a...tux. Mickey Rourke
tried something different at least! Just glad Kate
Winslet won....she is such a fantastic actress.
The other lady we hardly ever see anymore but
I love to see her is Sandra Bullock. She truly seems
like salt of the earth type people. No pretention,
just an attitude of well either you like it or you
don't. If you don't like it don't look at it....in those
famous words of George Lopez. Nonetheless, it's
still fun just to watch these people and experience
vicariously through them a life the majority of
us won't experience, but that isn't a bad thing!

Journey into Rescue
This the beginning of a new journey....into the world
of rescue! It all started back when my girlfriend at
work decided that she was getting a puppy...a female
chocolate lab to be specific. Then she decided that
her female needed a husband. She gets the male
chocolate lab and then badda boom badda bing she
has a litter of puppies. Cutest little tootsie rolls in
the world. I forgot actually how wonderful it was
to have a dog. Watching the Dog Whisperer didn't
help matters either. I am a life long fan and admire
Cesar Millan so much. He truly has a gift....the
Doctor Doolittle of domestic animals! The fever
just grew and grew! Actually it got really out of
control. Growing up we had several different
dogs....not so many cats but lots of dogs. My love
for dogs, cats, and horses has always been there.
As my life progressed it just never seemed to be the
right time to have pets other than a cat here or
there. Most of my cats were psycho though...
crazy cats! One morning I remember my grey/
black tabby with huge green eyes Jerry, came casually
walking out of the bedroom door. I was standing
with arms folded and a very puffy robe on (this
was in the early 80's mind you) watching the tv.
Out of the corner of my eye I see Jerry stop, look
up at me, and then take a full leap up at me like
his under belly had velcro and I was the other side
of the velcro. Arms out, nails in, and just looked
at me, as I pushed arms out he fell to the ground.
He then shot off like a bullet up to the couch,
banked off the back and down running fast into
the kitchen. What the???? This was many of the
weirdo things he use to do. The day I had to leave I
grabbed Jerry and put him in my orange '78 Volkswagen
Rabbit with pretty dark green velour interior.
He immediately got up in the back window area
growling at me. As I started to let the clutch out
Jerry flung himself forward down under my feet.
Again back, up to the back and back to the front.
Oh, this went on for about 2 1/2 rotations! I jumped
out of my exquisite Rabbit, went around the other
side of the car, opened the door and said,"get, out".
Jerry happily jumped out acting like nothing had just
happened. I promptly went up to my neighbors door
and told them that Jerry just doesn't want to go
with me. They had a little girl who adored him.
So I asked if they would like to adopt him. They
agreed right away. That was the last time I saw
him. Gone, but not forgotten, ever....
So here I am trying to find myself a dog. The
journey has just begun, but now my son wants to
get a cat! Hmmm thinking about that. Since I began
this mission....I have been immersed in the Dog
Whisperer show, dog websites, petfinder, and books.
Found out some cool things and learned lots....
I have chosen my breed.....after much research
I have chosen the Akita. We are still looking into
kitties, so we'll see how that goes....cleaning up
after one animal is all my nose can handle at this
point. I am sure my son will feel the same....he
is too busy to be caring for an animal....bites off
more than he can chew....hmmm....wonder where
he gets that from....but anywayz.....it's the
beginning of an adventure....will keep ya posted!
This actually started a while ago so before I go
forward I will go back...more about that next
time! C-ya

Here we go again Hair Care
Where have all the good products gone?......Hmmmm
Pondering and getting extremely annoyed. As I wandered
in the drugstore thinking why am I looking at hair care
products when I still have products to use at home that
I HATE! Everything from cheap to expensive. I only
came in to leave a prescription but when they make me
wait, I buy stuff I really don't need. It's like Target. Walk
in for one thing and leave with $136.34 worth of crap you
convinced yourself you need.......Anyhoo...As I meandered
reading labels, I stumbled across an new fandangled
shampoo and conditioner...it was like a bright spot light
showing on the leprechauns pot of gold....my eyes twirling,
and bugging out like in cartoons! Hey now! What are you
and what do you do? L'Oreal's new 100% Vegan line!
I love ecology and am trying to go green. Although I am
not a full Spring Green yet more like a pale Lime Green
but I am getting there, one shade of green at a time.
This new line just jumped out at me when I read......
No sulfates! Ok, I know sulfates are bad but how bad
and what they do that is so bad...who knows, I just know
that I don't want on my head soaking into my scalp
eventually causing me brain malfunctions. Got enough
of those already, no need complicating things. I purchased
the Smooth shampoo and conditioner. Forget my son's
prescription I wanted to leave the store immediately
and wash my hair! As I carried everything else I didn't
need and these hair products to the counter I realized
that I was to embark on what could be the end of my
search for good hair care. This stuff is made to help you
maintain your color too! How could I ask for more...?
I finally did use the products and found that, well......these
are very, very good! Dry air out and so the hair seems
to be very smooth...we'll see when the humidity levels
rise and I am trying to combat ever so slight and
irritating frizz. But until that fateful day comes I will
enjoy my new smooth, good smelling, 100% vegan,
no sulfate hair! Try it out and let me know what
you think....give me your thoughts!
